Train your staff and
students to cope with loss, and to help others cope with loss.
Windows: Healing and Helping Through Loss, by the late
Mary
Joe Hannaford, S.Ed., and Michael
H. Popkin, Ph.D., is the first video and discussion program
to address the issue of loss. Windows teaches participants
how to deal with obvious losses such as death and divorce as
well as the subtle feelings associated with losing a job, moving
away from family and friends, and losing a dream.
Perfect for
discussion groups and staff development.
Windows is part video and part group discussion and is
designed to be highly interactive. The video illustrates the
concepts, while the exercises and activities found in the Participant's
Guide and the group discussion allow for personal sharing that
will reinforce these concepts. The result is an engaging learning
experience for your group.
The group discussion format of Windows makes it ideal
for staff development, loss education for students, volunteer
training in hospitals or hospices, or for any other group that
helps others.
It's easy to lead a group!
Windows is designed for six 1-hour sessions and
is flexible, so you can adapt it to your particular situation.
Part I will help participants explore their own ways of coping
with loss, and Part II will prepare participants to help others.
The Leader's Guide takes you step by step through the course
and offers valuable insights into organizing a group.

The program kit includes:
