A 4- to 6-hour seminar designed to help parents face the challenges of coparenting while protecting their children from harmful conflict and developing a cooperative, child-focused relationship.
Coparenting can present unique challenges for families, but it’s often the children who pay the highest price. Crossroads of Coparenting: A 5-Step Seminar to Shield Children from Harm will help parents identify the behaviors that can harm their children, then learn how to change those behaviors for good. Parents will come away with a powerful toolset for handling conflict, communicating effectively, and promoting a positive, nurturing environment for their children.
The Crossroads of Coparenting seminar is derived from the evidence-based program Cooperative Coparenting through Separation or Divorce and shares scenes from the same video.

In just one session (4-6 hours), parents will learn how to implement the 5 prevention steps:
The Crossroads seminar is a leader-facilitated coparenting education program that can be used with large or small groups, or even one-on-one. It is designed to be facilitated in a single, 4-hour session, with the option of extending to 6 hours through additional activities. The course incorporates 18 minutes of video embedded in PowerPoint (32 slides), group discussion, activities, reading from the companion Parent’s Guide, and other skill–development methods. Based on the more extensive Cooperative Coparenting program (also available from Active Parenting), Crossroads’ shorter format makes it ideal for court systems to use as a mandated course for coparents undergoing divorce, separation, or custody disputes. The course material applies to all coparents, regardless of their marital or relationship status.
The step-by-step Leader’s Guide (96 pages) lets you know when to play video, show slides, stop for discussion, and how to run activities—making it easy to lead a class.
The comprehensive Parent’s Guide (72 pages) presents essential information, examples, and exercises to reinforce the concepts covered in the seminar and serves as a valuable resource long after the class is over.
The program includes downloadable handouts and a certificate of completion that can be personalized for each seminar participant.
