MICHAEL H. POPKIN, PH.D.
Michael is the author of over 25 books and curricula on parenting, including Taming the Spirited Child and Active Parenting of Teens. Dr. Popkin earned a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University and served as Director of Child and Family Services at an Atlanta hospital before entering private practice. He and his wife, Melody, live and work together in Atlanta and are the parents of two young adult children.
MELODY F. POPKIN
Melody is Manager of Christian Resources at Active Parenting, where she works alongside her husband, Dr. Michael Popkin. Melody’s background in software training combined with her deep devotion to Christianity and faith studies gave rise to her desire to create a Christian version of the Active Parenting program.
SUE ALLEN, M.A.
Sue holds a master’s degree in Human Development and Family Relations. She is the Director of Women’s Discipleship at Northside Church in Atlanta. Seeking to share God’s love and inspiration with others, Sue has authored numerous Christian books and is a dedicated daily contributor to her blog. She and her husband are the parents of four children. Sue’s blog is called SueToYou.
